Programme Details
The health care nursing programme is specially designed for those who desire to travel outside the country to work as Home Carers, Care Assistants or Support work staffs. This program is designed to train learners to become Health Care Professionals. Our dedicated and experienced instructors will provide quality education with hands-on training to prepare students for the real world. Students will practice their techniques in labs equipped with articulated mannequins, hospital beds, medical gear and fixtures. Furthermore, students will participate at a designated facility or a hospital and interact with patients throughout the practicum training period. This healthcare assistant training program will help students learn proficiency and the confidence most needed on a job.
Healthcare nurses work in hospitals or communities. The role can be varied depending upon the healthcare setting. Most commonly, work alongside nurses and are sometimes known as nursing auxiliaries or auxiliary nurses. They also work alongside qualified midwives in maternity services. Healthcare nursing aide professional staff by visiting clients, preparing written reports and verbal reports and helping clients and careers with personal care tasks.
Students are taken through courses such as Health Psychology, Client Care, Health Education, Basic Care, Pharmacology, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Health Service Management, Infection Prevention, Geriatric Nursing, Nutrition, Safeguarding Adults, Basic life support, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding Children, Community Health, Reproductive Health and Entrepreneurial Skills.
Entry Requirements
- SSSCE/WASSCE with five {6} passes or equivalent (SSSCE: A-E WASSCE: A1-D7)
- Matured applicants must be 25 years and above with 1 year working experience and must pass selection interview (oral and written)
