Daniel Otoo

College Administrator/Lecturer

Daniel Otoo is the Administrator at Dawsun Health College, overseeing daily operations and long-term strategy. With a diverse career across multiple industries, he brings a strong blend of business acumen and educational leadership to the role. He is dedicated to fostering a thriving learning environment where students excel. Daniel’s expertise lies in educational administration, strategic planning, and operational management, including optimizing processes, leading teams, and implementing innovative strategies. He is also well-versed in curriculum development, student support, and financial management. Daniel holds a BSc. in Mathematics with Business and a Certificate in Theology and Leadership. He actively shapes academic programs, ensuring high standards, supporting faculty and staff, and advocating for student success. He also lecturers at the college. 

Afia Agyeiwaa Boateng

Senior HR Officer/Executive Assistant

Afia Agyeiwaa Boateng is the Senior HR Officer and Executive Assistant to the Group CEO at SunuEmpire Group of Companies. She holds a BA in Social Sciences (Economics and Sociology) and is pursuing her PHRi certification. With expertise in HR operations, recruitment, performance management, training, and employee welfare, she is committed to building strong and thriving workplaces.

Starting her career as a Front Desk Cashier and rising through roles as Administrative Secretary and Executive Assistant, Afia’s journey reflects resilience and continuous growth. She is passionate about people and dedicated to helping individuals unlock their potential and pursue personal development.

Beyond work, Afia actively mentors teens and leads a foundation that supports orphans and widows, blending her professional influence with a heart for impact.

Theophilus Osae Boadu

Administrative Officer

Theophilus Osae Boadu is an Administrative Officer at Dawsun Health College with experience in administration, finance, and organizational management. He holds a degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Ghana, Legon.

He has previously served as a Relationship Officer in a microfinance institution, where he managed client relations, loan disbursements, and repayments. Beyond his professional career, Theophilus is enthusiastic about ministry and currently leads both the Children’s Ministry and Teens Ministry in his church, where he mentors and nurtures young people.

Francis Mensah Fianya

Francis Mensah Fianya is a healthcare professional with over 10 years of experience in general and psychiatric care. He excels in patient care planning and implementation. Francis holds a BSc. in Nursing and a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, making him a valuable addition to Dawsun Health College. He is passionate about teaching and inspiring future healthcare professionals. With his diverse healthcare background, Francis effectively communicates complex concepts and encourages a collaborative learning environment. He is dedicated to helping students succeed in the evolving healthcare industry.

Barbara Asare is a healthcare professional with a background in Physician Assistantship. She has experience as a Senior Claims Officer and a healthcare management trainee. She aims to inspire future healthcare workers by fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and team leadership.

Wisdom Amenyega

Lecturer

Distinguished Medical Laboratory Scientist with 4 years of expertise in clinical diagnosis, laboratory management, and quality assurance in healthcare delivery. Proficient in conducting a variety of routine and complex tests, analyzing results, and providing critical diagnostic information. He is Known for meticulous attention to details, committed to healthcare ethics and maintaining high standards in Healthcare delivery.

In addition to his professional mandate, Mr. Wisdom Amenyega has dedicated his life to medical research, and impacting knowledge amongst the upcoming ones aspiring to be a health professional.

Emmanuel Adutwum Sarkodie

Lecturer

Emmanuel Adutwum Sarkodie is a skilled professional with experience in medical practice, digital health, and team management. He is the Head of mHealth at Milvik Ghana Limited (BIMA), where he has significantly improved the telemedicine field. He has secured regulatory licenses, introduced new healthcare products, and optimized telemedicine services for better access and patient outcomes. Emmanuel’s leadership transformed a 12-hour teledoctor service into a 24-hour operation during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also serves as a part-time tutor at Dawsun Health College, sharing his diverse healthcare knowledge. Emmanuel holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physician Assistantship and a Certificate in Data Science. He is passionate about combining technology with healthcare to increase efficiency and improve service delivery.

Patrick Larbi Awuku

Lecturer

Patrick Larbi Awuku is a highly accomplished healthcare professional serving both a Senior Dietitian and Student Coordinator at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he combines clinical expertise with a passion for mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers. As the founder of Eathealth Nutrition, a premier nutrition and dietetic practice in Ghana, he delivers evidence-based nutritional care while partnering with hospitals, clinics, and businesses to advance preventive health strategies across the healthcare sector. His deep commitment to social impact is embodied in The Kingdom Food Bank, an NGO he established to combat, hunger food insecurity and uplift vulnerable communities through sustainable hunger-relief initiatives. As dedicated educator and advocate, Patrick integrates his clinical experience with community-focused outreach, leading volunteer programs and public health campaigns that empower individuals through nutrition education and empowerment. His professional philosophy emphasizes translating scientific knowledge into practical, accessible solutions that transform lives. Through his multifaceted roles, clinician, educator, entrepreneur, and advocate, Patrick strives to create a healthier, more equitable society where proper nourishment and education are within everyone’s reach.

Alex Adusei

Lecturer

I, Alex Adusei, am a committed Lecturer and healthcare professional with academic and clinical experience in Ghana’s health sector. I currently serve as a Lecturer at Dawsun Health College, a nursing training institution, where I teach Anatomy and Physiology and support the academic development of nursing students through engaging instruction and mentorship. Alongside my academic duties, I work clinically at Bloomingdale Medical Centre, contributing to patient care and public health delivery. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistantship from Presbyterian University, Ghana, and have previously practiced at Agogo Presbyterian Hospital, St. Dominic Hospital, and General Family Hospital in Asamankese. I am actively involved in health research, currently investigating hypertension among police officers and developmental delays in children under five. I aim to bridge clinical practice and academic excellence to strengthen both healthcare delivery and nursing education in Ghana.

Isaac Kwasi Owusu

Lecturer

Isaac Kwasi Owusu is a seasoned mathematics educator with over a decade of teaching experience. He has taught Mathematics at various levels, including SHS, IGCSE, SAT, and GRE, and has coached National Science and Mathematics Quiz teams in different senior high schools. He is also passionate about promoting gender equity in education and actively mentor’s girls in STEM.

Isaac holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics, and an MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He currently serves as an adjunct lecturer at Pentecost University, teaching business, and logistics-related courses. At Dawsun Health College, he brings his strong mathematics background, analytical skills, and engaging teaching style to inspire student achievement and academic excellence.

Mr. Eugene Gaglo-Addo

‎Eugene Gaglo-Addo is a healthcare professional with a background in Dietetics and Nutrition. He has experience as dietitian and a researcher. He has skills in data analysis and statistical methods. He is enthusiastic about positively impacting and imparting students for a brighter future.

Mrs. Alberta Wordi

Lecturer

Mrs. Alberta Wordi is a Registered Midwife with a passion for maternal and newborn health. I am currently pursuing a two-year top-up in Midwifery at the university to further

build on my clinical skills and academic knowledge.

Midwifery for me is not just a profession but a calling—I am deeply committed to supporting women and families through the journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. My areas of interest include maternal education, reproductive health, and research that improves outcomes for mothers and babies.

I look forward to growing as a practitioner, researcher, and advocate, while contributing to the advancement of midwifery practice both in my community.

Solomon Francis Apam

Lecturer

Solomon Francis Apam is a seasoned healthcare professional at the prestigious Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, where he has built over eight years of experience in public health, infectious disease control, and emergency nursing. His frontline work, particularly in the management of tuberculosis and HIV, has positioned him as a dedicated advocate for stronger, more resilient health systems in Ghana and across Africa.

Beyond clinical practice, Solomon is a passionate Health and Safety Advocate committed to advancing workplace safety, wellness, and preventive healthcare.

Academically, Solomon holds a BSc in Nursing from Central University, diploma in workplace health and safety, certificate in leadership and management in health from University Washington, diploma in nursing from Nurses and Midwifery training college-korle-bu and a certificate in Artificial Intelligence (Ai) from ALX.

He is the Founder of KS Health and Safety Consult, a consultancy that provides expert training, advisory, and implementation support to organizations seeking to foster safer work environments and align with international best practices.

His entrepreneurial spirit also shines through as the Co-founder of Scrummy Juice Products, a growing health-focused business promoting nutrition and wellness through locally sourced, high-quality juice blends. This venture reflects his belief in holistic health, addressing both medical care and lifestyle choices.

Solomon is also an active mentor and speaker, frequently contributing to leadership, entrepreneurship, and health dialogues. His expertise and diverse portfolio allow him to serve not only as a healthcare professional but also as a bridge between health, safety, business innovation, and community impact.

Dr. Evans Fianu

Lecturer

Dr. Evans Fianu is a dedicated pharmacist and part-time lecturer at Dawsun Health College with a strong passion for advancing healthcare, education, and community development. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), with advanced training in pharmacy practice at KNUST and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He further completed his one-year housemanship at Ho Teaching Hospital and gained extensive experience in both hospital and community pharmacy practice across various regions in Ghana.

In addition to his academic and clinical practice experience, Dr. Fianu serves as an Operations Executive at Phoenix Health Insurance Ltd., where he contributes to the development and management of innovative healthcare financing solutions. This role complements his academic work, equipping students with practical insights into the intersection of pharmacy, healthcare management, and insurance systems.

With professional experience spanning patient-centered care, pharmacy management, health insurance operations, and public health advocacy, Dr. Fianu is committed to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. His academic and professional interests lie in clinical pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical care, and the integration of data science and technology into healthcare practice.

Beyond academia, Dr. Fianu has served in various leadership and community roles, including President of the Ghana Pharmaceutical Students Association (GPSA) at KNUST and Regional Coordinator of the Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) in Ghana. He has spearheaded health campaigns, student mentorship initiatives, and community outreach programs aimed at improving access to healthcare and empowering young professionals.

Dr. Fianu’s vision is to contribute to innovative healthcare solutions through teaching, research, and service, while inspiring students to pursue excellence in health sciences.

Rhoda Kumah

Lecturer

Rhoda Kumah is a registered clinical dietitian and an expert in health services management.

She has a wide range of responsibilities in handling non-communicable diseases and any diet-related diseases as well as hospital management and administrative duties.

She is a team player with good interpersonal relationship skills, detailed oriented and problem-solving skills, trustworthy, discreet, and very ethical.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in dietetics at the University of Cape Coast (U.C.C) and a master’s in health services management at the University of Ghana (UG)

She is known for motivating and helping people to become better versions of themselves.

Emmanuel Botwe

Lecturer

Emmanuel Botwe is a passionate healthcare educator and clinician with a solid background in medical sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistantship(medical) and a Diploma in Psychological Foundations of Science/ Mathematics Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at the University of Ghana. With years of hands-on clinical experience, a growing portfolio in academic mentorship and health students’ leadership, Emmanuel combines evidence-based teaching with real-world application to inspire and equip the next generation of health professionals. He is currently part of the great team of lecturers at Dawsun Health college
